ERA Russell Realty Group had a great time supporting the eight annual North Reading Turkey Trot. This is the second year that we have been the premier sponsor of the trot. The Local race is 3.1 mile run that started at Ipswich River Park and circled several streets leading back to the park. As a sponsor of the Trot, the money raised goes to support the North Reading high school athletic programs and scholarships for graduating North Reading Seniors.

This event celebrates “Families” and has become part of the North Reading tradition. Not only do runners receive a festive cotton shirt, every finisher will receive a collector’s item medal. Runners, too, have the added benefit of burning 300 calories which equals an equal helping of homemade Thanksgiving mashed potatoes! Moreover, a North Reading school with the most amount of participants will receive a check to be used for physical education equipment. This race is limited to 1,500 runners and is almost full!

Everywhere you go, you will see someone wearing the race shirt with all of the sponsors listed on the back! It basically is 365 days of a walking advertisement. We are grateful for our supporters,” says co-race director Kathleen Walsh.
