Do you keep business cards in your pocket or wallet? Pull one out and take a look at it. What does it say? The business card is a direct link to and representation of you and what you do. Does your card adequately express who you are and give discreet yet direct information on getting into contact with you?
When you are at a party making acquaintances and hand over your card, do you think they care about this tiny slip of paper with just your name and fax number on it? Most likely, they do not.
Your business card needs to be simple and contain three things:
1) Your name and direct number
2) Your cell/text number (indicates you are text friendly)
3) Your website address
If your business card is direct and concise, then you will be seen as direct and concise. When it comes to first impressions, not much else matters.
